Each June, Central Texas Electric Cooperative members meet in the co-op’s six voting districts and, if applicable, select a nominee for the board of directors. This year, the membership will vote on four local nominees from Districts 1, 3, 4 and 5 at the co-op’s annual meeting on Tuesday, August 17, in Fredericksburg.
Selected as nominees by the members in the districts were:
Wynee Rae Whitworth, District 1 (Kendall County area)
Mark Hahn, District 3 (Mason County area)
Fermin Ortiz, District 4 (Llano County area)
Doylene Bode, District 5 (Gillespie County area)
These co-op members, who were elected by their peers in person at their district meetings, will be voted upon by the entire CTEC membership at the annual meeting. CTEC directors are limited to four consecutive, three-year terms.
Proxy voting is allowed at the annual meeting, and all members are encouraged to participate in the election process. All CTEC members are allowed to vote for each board position listed on the ballot, regardless of what district they are in.
