The Operation Round-Up Board of Directors at Central Texas Electric Cooperative recently approved a grant to assist a Llano-area family recovering from a devastating house fire.
The grant was awarded to Daniel Gutierrez of Llano, whose home was destroyed by fire on January 31, 2026. The funding will help provide immediate support as he and his family work to recover from the loss and begin rebuilding their lives.
The assistance demonstrates the core mission of Operation Round-Up—neighbors helping neighbors throughout the communities served by CTEC. Through the program, participating members contribute spare change each month by rounding up their electric bills to the nearest dollar, creating a fund that provides assistance to local individuals, families and organizations facing hardship.
Thanks to the generosity of CTEC members, Operation Round-Up continues to make a meaningful impact across the cooperative's service area by supporting those experiencing unexpected challenges and difficult circumstances.
