CTEC Operation Round-Up Awards Grant

Recently the Operation Round-Up board of directors at Central Texas Electric Cooperative approved a grant to the Heart of the Hills MOM Center in Fredericksburg.

This nonprofit organization’s goal is to provide pregnant women and families practical assistance and education, empowering women to choose life and raise strong, healthy families. One of the primary services offered at Heart of the Hills is prenatal, parenting, relational and life-skills education. As clients meet with their advocates and participate in various curricula,
they earn points that can be redeemed for items they need for their baby or child such as cribs and car seats.

This Operation Round-Up grant is possible because of CTEC members who voluntarily participate. By having their monthly electric bills rounded up to the next whole dollar each month, enrolled co-op members have been able to make a difference in the lives of neighbors in their communities.

CTEC members can sign up for Operation Round-Up online here or by calling their local office. One-time contributions are also accepted. All donations are tax-deductible.

It’s an easy, inexpensive way to become part of a great community program through your co-op membership.
