District Meetings Planned for June

I am delighted to announce that our district meetings have been scheduled for June. As we prepare for these important gatherings, I invite each and every one of you to join us and be part of shaping the future of Central Texas Electric Cooperative.

At CTEC, we take pride in upholding cooperative business principles, one of which is Democratic Member Control. This principle underscores our commitment to ensuring that decisions are made democratically by the members, for the members.  The district meetings exemplify this principle in action.

During these meetings, you will have the opportunity to connect, share perspectives, and most importantly, exercise your fundamental right to vote and choose representatives who will effectively advocate for your interests on the board of directors.

Your participation in these meetings is vital, as it directly impacts the direction and decisions of Central Texas EC. Your voice matters, and your engagement shapes the trajectory of our cooperative’s future.

Board candidates will be selected at meetings for District 1 in Comfort, District 3 in Mason, District 4 in Llano and District 5 in Fredericksburg this year. The other two meetings, District 2 in  Ingram and District 6 in Cherokee, will not hold elections; however, all meetings will share information regarding the business of the co-op.

The example label located above the maps on the dust cover of this magazine will show you where to find your district number on your mailing label. Once you verify your district number, the location of that meeting can be found by referring to the maps. Remember to keep the registration card on the front cover and bring it to the meeting along with identification for faster registration.

According to the CTEC bylaws, members must be present at their designated district meeting to vote. Attendees will receive a $10 electric bill credit per membership and be eligible for several door prizes at each meeting. Mark your calendar for your district meeting, and we hope to see you there!
