Join Us at This Year’s Annual Meeting

This year's edition of the Central Texas Electric Cooperative (CTEC) Annual Meeting is the co-op’s 71st and will be my first! I am excited to meet you in person and look forward to a festive event. Formally, our annual meeting is an opportunity for members to vote for district nominees to represent members on the CTEC Board of Directors and hear a state of the cooperative message from our board president. Informally, members get the chance to visit and network with other members from our local community and also have an opportunity to win some great door prizes.

The districts holding an election this year are districts 4, 5 and 6. The nominees, all incumbents, are Scott Olguin, Tim Lehmberg, and James Low, respectively. Each of the nominees is running unopposed, and there will be an opportunity for the membership to elect them by acclamation.

Since this will be my first annual meeting, our format will be somewhat different from years past.  After we have concluded with the business portion of the meeting and had an opportunity to elect board members, we will have a moderator lead a discussion between board President Mark Hahn and me. Our conversation will focus on the following topics: the CEO search process, an introduction of me and my family, rates, supply chain challenges, and the increasing costs of materials.

Our discussion will take up most of the meeting, allowing little time for an open forum to follow.  However, we—including board members, co-op staff, and I—will be readily available before and after the meeting to answer any questions or hear any concerns you may have about our cooperative.

I look forward to seeing you soon!
